We regretfully announce the passing of Life Member and former Chief Homer Hall. Homer served as Fire Chief in 1978 and 1979 and served Hartsville for 30 years. He also served as a Fire Chief at Merck, Sharp & Dohme Fire Brigade in North Wales for many years. Homer loved the fire company. When he was a junior firefighter, he was named chief of all the junior firefighters at the time. He would drive the tractor with his dad from the fields to answer fire calls back in the early days. Homer was an integral part of HFC history. There will be no service as Homer and his wife Donna decided to donate his body to science. We will observe a moment of silence to remember our brother Homer before the March Business Meeting. We also offer our condolences to his wife Donna, his sons Steve and Scott as well as his brother Dale.
