Great honor to work with your members on Sunday at the Truck Class. Appreciate the dedication and desire to train. We can all continue to learn from each other! Training is a journey not a destination. Stay safe my brothers!
I'm enjoying reading the guest book! It's inspiring to see all the support that Hartsville Fire Company and the other fire companies are praised. And rightly so! Thank you for All you do.

To Jessie Hamilton and all of Hartsville FD: I knew Paul only briefly when he drove old special service 93 all the way down south to our department. Yes, Paul was a great guy. He and my father (who was chief at the time but now deceased) stayed up all night talking. He only knew me from phone conversations about SS93, but yet treated me like a long lost cousin. God bless Paul and God bless you. The truck was fitted with a battery truck body and continues as a service truck here in Hilda, SC. She has served us well.

Hartsville Fire Company,
This past Memorial Day weekend, my wife and I made a day of driving through Maryland and Pennsylvania. The drive took us around Philadelphia, a tour of the Villanova University Campus, and through Bucks County Pennsylvania and we eventually ended up at the clothing outlets in Lancaster, PA. On our drive we passed the Hartsville Volunteer Fire Company, home of Engine 93. My wife and I have been and will always be strong supporters of the men and women of this country who not only serve in the United States Armed Forces, serve as Federal/State/Local Law Enforcement, but also those Fire Fighters/Paramedics/EMTs and fire services who volunteer to answer the public’s calls for help! I cannot thank the volunteers of this country enough!
I wanted to say, I had the honor of meeting Fire Fighter/Engine 93 Engineer Mr. Al Outland who happened to be at the fire house giving a tour to his family. He took the time to introduce himself and speak to me. He was able to include me in the brief tour of the fire department with his family. In the brief time I was there that day, I came to learn much about the Hartsville Volunteer Fire Company but also how the fire system and fire houses are set up in the state of Pennsylvania. Truly a memorable day, “Thank You” for adding to my wife’s and I memorable outing that day.

My father Paul Hamilton was a volunteer fire fighter at the Hartsville Fire Company for many years previous to his death. He was close friends with Jon Cox. I miss him dearly... the reason I decided to write in the guest-book is because tonight I filled out a form to become a fire fighter tonight. I need to be voted in, but I am hopeful. I told my new family (who are also fire fighters) "if my father could do it, so can I." I want to make him proud. He has been gone four, almost five years now. And I love and miss him dearly. I wish he could see how far I've come and will continue to go. Thank you for everything you do.

My first fire company. I joined with Hartsville in 1977 as a Junior and served faithfully until around 1981 or 82 when I moved away and joined Telford Fire Company. By 1985, I wound up as a career Firefighter/Paramedic until I had to retire due to health in 2005. I am currently a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Manager for a very large company. My roots, still considered Station 93.
Thanks and God bless, Henry, Homer and all the gang back then! "Yous-guys" kept this dumb kid out of trouble, off the streets and on to a career I loved for many years

Found this site on a nostalgia trip! I was a member of the company in 1956/57 (still have my badge) I helped on the fire at Washington's HQ farm when the stable and apartment above burnt and also amison's farm fire. Bud Dager was the Chief. I worked at eddy Carr's Store until I joined the USAF and Jay Heinikes Pool service. Feel free to email me any time.
